Overview

Cordoba Corporation was part of a team led by Geosyntec in the development of the Stormwater Capture Master Plan for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. Long considered an underutilized resource, this effort quantifies and characterizes the role that increased stormwater capture can play in the city’s long-term water supply portfolio. The project team also investigated potential strategies for implementation of stormwater capture programs and projects throughout the area. Cordoba’s planners provided analysis of ordinances, studies, and plans related to water supply and stormwater capture.

Cordoba Corporation provided planning expertise for the analysis of plans and ordinances pertinent to the current approaches to stormwater capture.
This type of planning is a new and significant effort as stormwater is now viewed as a valuable source of local water supply that can be captured and reused.
The ongoing California drought necessitates the development of these types of efforts going forward.
