Cordoba Corporation Managing Partner, Maria Mehranian, Raises Over $15.4 Million Dollars for Humanitarian Relief in Armenian. Armenia Fund’s 2016 Artsakh Telethon raised over $15.4 million dollars to help restore civilian infrastructure damaged during the recent four-day war, and provide critical humanitarian relief to those affected by the atrocities.
(Los Angeles, CA)- The 2016 Armenia Fund International Thanksgiving Day Telethon held on November 24th, 2016 began with opening remarks from Maria Mehranian, CFO and Managing Partner of Cordoba Corporation, and ended with $15.4 million dollars raised. Having become a Thanksgiving Day tradition for Armenians around the world, the Telethon aired from Los Angeles and was broadcasted from coast to coast as well as internationally. Proceeds from the Telethon will benefit emergency and disaster preparedness for Armenia and Artsakh by helping source, purchase, and administer first aid medicines, advanced emergency and trauma kits for hospitals and clinics, temporary housing, warm blankets, non-perishable food items, water purification systems, portable kitchens and other back-up measures for basic staples to sustain life in case of a severe emergency or humanitarian disaster.
