Cordoba has successfully provided a full spectrum of services for the testing and replacement of various gas pipeline segments within the SoCalGas and SDG&E service territories with projects located in Anaheim, Blythe, Coachella, Garden Grove, Glendale, Kings City, Los Angeles, Placentia, Porter Ranch and Ventura.
|
Our project scope has included integrity digs, pipeline replacements, valve retrofits, station build outs, in-line inspection support and project reconciliation. Services for these projects have included project management, project controls, pipeline planning, owner’s services, engineering, design, construction oversight, closeout, and consulting. Cordoba has been providing these services consistently from the initiation stage to the project close out stage.
Our pipeline integrity work includes consideration of the age and materials of a pipeline, the current applicable and projected future area classification, the current and expected future operating conditions of the pipeline, corrosion issues pertaining to the soil conditions, corrosion control measures currently in place, any current data or need for new data from smart pig analysis, stresses due to ground fault issues, erosion, and the maintenance and operating history of the pipeline. Cordoba’s services take into account that pipeline operators are required to abide by 49 CFR 192 and regulations put forth by the federal Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), at a minimum. These regulations require all gas transmission pipelines to be regularly evaluated, particularly in areas where pipeline failure would have a significant impact on public safety or the environment. Based on these assessments, Cordoba advises its clients to plan for suitable rehabilitation and maintenance measures.
