Connecting Our Communities and Making a Difference: Q&A with Jacque Robinson

Cordoba Corporation uses outreach and communications and promotes the value that community leaders, local officials and residents can bring to the table when considering opportunities to improve local infrastructure and invest in the public health and economic well-being of local communities.

Here at Cordoba Corporation, we always say that our value add is by Making a Difference where we live and work. Can you explain what this means to you and to our clients?

“Cordoba respects the communities that we work in and makes lasting investments that will make a positive impact long after our project related work has been completed. Making A Difference comes from the top our leadership and George leads that aspect of our culture to ensure that spirit and directive is involved in all that we do.For me, Making a Difference is about being intentional and doing the work, even when it does not benefit you directly. No expected accolades and doing the right thing for its own sake. I love that aspect of our Cordoba experience.”

How has your background and skillset shaped your approach on how you assist our clients?

“My experience prior to joining Cordoba has included community organizing, philanthropy, and electoral politics for candidates and issues. I have also been locally elected myself and served as Vice Mayor and Councilmember for the City of Pasadena, CA for 8 years. This has enabled me to work very closely with community members, executives and business leaders, and the media. Many policy and business decisions are not black and white and my experience has served me well in this regard because I believe I know how to balance those interests in order to gain the widest benefit and impact. I firmly believe in the “AND,” not the “or.” I bring many of my existing relationships built over the last two decades to Cordoba and I look forward to be part of the team that leads us to be financially successful AND socially responsible.”

Why or what makes you proud to be a “Cordobian”?

“I am proud that I get to be part of a Company that truly embraces my whole self: the skills and talents that I bring to my role as well as priority for my family life.”
