California State University, Los Angeles will confer an Honorary Doctorate on Cordoba Corporation’s Founder and CEO George L. Pla at the university’s commencement ceremony.
“The California State University Honorary Degree is awarded and reserved to those who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary achievement and embody the objectives and ideals the California State University System and Cal State LA,” said William A. Covino, President of California State University, Los Angeles.
George L. Pla will receive an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters during the commencement of the College of Natural and Social Sciences on Wednesday, May 24 at 9:00 a.m. and will be introduced and presented to the graduating class and guests by Los Angeles Mayor, Karen Bass.
