Los Angeles World Airports’ latest Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC), representing nearly $1 billion in contracting value, received approval from the Los Angeles City Council.
Cordoba Corporation was awarded as one of the fifteen companies to cover the on-call program services supporting LAWA’s capital improvement plan and other key initiatives at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Van Nuys Airport (VNY), and Palmdale (PMD) Landholdings.
The occasion marks a groundbreaking moment for LAWA and its dedication to creating new and lasting economic pathways for local, diverse, veteran, small and micro businesses with a historic number of first time and new-to-LAWA participants.
Highlights Include:
- Record-Breaking Inclusivity: The MATOC sets new inclusivity standards as LAWA continues to lead the way in fostering equitable economic growth and resilience in Los Angeles and beyond.
- A Diverse Partner Network: The contract awards include 15 firms, with six being first-time prime contractors and two being joint-venture XBE firms new to LAWA. This diverse group, alongside 230 subconsultants (147 XBE firms and 73 micro small businesses), highlights LAWA’s commitment to building strong community partnerships.
- Efficiency and Transparency: LAWA’s innovative contracting model streamlines processes, eliminating unnecessary negotiations and increasing efficiency for contractors and clients alike. Additionally, enhanced transparency and inclusivity initiatives pave the way for more accessible opportunities.
