Cordoba Corporation is proud to announce that Executive Vice President of Energy Infrastructure Lucy Labruzzo is serving as the 2022 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) San Diego Light the Night Corporate Walk Chair. In addition, Cordoba Corporation is pleased to share that the company has committed to a $30,000 corporate sponsorship and a corporate team fundraising goal of $75,000 in support of this year’s Light the Night Walk on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Waterfront Park in San Diego.
In her role as Corporate Walk Chair, Lucy recently hosted the 2022 LLS San Diego Light the Night Executive Launch on June 22, 2022 in San Diego. Attended by nearly 100 people, representatives from dozens of local San Diego based companies came together to learn about LLS, Light the Night, and how their companies can become involved in the 2022 San Diego Light the Night Walk by serving as sponsors, building a corporate fundraising team, joining the LLS Executive Challenge, and walking at the event.
Lucy and Erika Schimmel-Guiles from San Diego Gas & Electric shared about their personal experiences losing loved ones to blood cancers and other types of cancer at the Executive Launch event. Although the stories of lost lives were emotional for many in attendance, the spirit of hope and bringing light to the darkness of cancer through the Light the Night Walk inspired many attendees to become involved with this important cause. 
Several Cordoba Corporation leaders including Vice President of Energy Infrastructure Sam Tenorio, Director or Electric Utilities Brad Carter, Director of Gas Utilities (and Cordoba Corporation’s Light the Night Co-Team Captain) Peter Yu, Executive Assistant Yasmin Bersano, and Director of Communications Christine McLeod, attended the event, with Peter and Christine serving as table discussion leads at the launch.
