Cordoba Corporation’s Founder and CEO George L. Pla, under his capacity as the President of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Commission, announced that the Coliseum will once again host a matchup of City Section football teams.
San Pedro will play Phineas Banning at the Coliseum on October 18. Similar to the Roosevelt-Garfield East LA Classic game played in 2022 at the Coliseum with a halftime performance by Will.I.Am and the Black Eyed Peas, and the South LA Classic in 2023 headlined by Warren G and Xzibit, this game will be called the Harbor Classic featuring the crosstown rivalry in the Harbor Area of the City of Los Angeles.
“We are taking it to the Harbor! Once again, we are doing this for the students, giving most a once in a lifetime opportunity to play and perform in a historical venue in front of thousands of their friends, family, and fans. We are giving back to the Harbor Area communities, and we did not ask the schools or school district to subsidize any financing for this game. As we do every year, all ticket sales revenue will go directly back to the athletic programs for San Pedro and Banning High,” said George L. Pla.
Tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster and the Coliseum Box Office in fall.
