Cordoba Corporation’s Maria Mehranian Makes a Difference by Raising $9.8 Million for Sustainable Infrastructure

Two People at Desk
Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles, Ambassador Armen Baibourtian and Cordoba Corporation’s Maria Mehranian.

Cordoba Corporation is proud to congratulate our Managing Partner Maria Mehranian!  Through her role as President of the Armenia Fund, Maria hosted the 22nd Annual Armenia Fund Thanksgiving Day Telethon, which raised $9.8 million dollars in support of sustainable infrastructure in Armenia.

The theme of this year’s telethon was To My Beloved Armenia – Life-giving Water and Sun for Communities.” Proceeds from the pan-national event benefit the installation of solar-power systems and the construction of drinking water and irrigation networks in towns and villages in Armenia

“I was thrilled to once again be a part of the Armenia Fund Telethon 2019,” stated Maria Mehranian, who has hosted the annual telethon for the past several years.

“With the implementation of our flagship programs this year, vitally-important irrigation water and cutting-edge technologies to harness the power of the sun will become available to farmers throughout the Homeland,” continued Maria.  “This will greatly improve the quality of life of rural communities, especially in border regions, and help build sustainability in Armenia.”

Established in 1994 in Los Angeles, Armenia Fund, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) tax-exempt, non-governmental, non-political corporation that has implemented over $130 million of infrastructure development assistance and humanitarian aid worldwide.  It is the largest humanitarian organization serving the Republic of Armenia and the Artsakh Republic.
