Overview

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works (LACDPW) has a mission to “plan, design, build, and maintain modern infrastructure that uplifts all communities of Los Angeles County.” LACDPW has an annual budget of over $4 billion dollars and is responsible for municipal services, construction management, environmental services, transportation, and water resources

Cordoba’s Role

Cordoba is contracted to offer project management/construction services for various projects within the county, covering facilities construction, engineering, and roadway projects. Procured on a requisition basis, the work ranges from short-term projects to long-term staff augmentation roles. Thus far, Cordoba has worked on the following projects:

  • Cordoba currently provides staff augmentation for a Senior Construction Manager overseeing municipal infrastructure projects in LA County, focusing on traffic safety improvements. Responsibilities include planning, design, approvals, permitting, construction, and project oversight.
  • Supporting LACPW with a 7-month progressive design build project, Cordoba assists in drafting template contract documents and RFQ/RFPs based on recent legislation (ex.Senate Bill No. 991).
  • Cordoba supports Public Works with the RFP process for a program management control system, facilitating better understanding and definition of business needs. Tasks include RFP research, document preparation, solicitation support, and implementation.
  • Hall of Records Renovation Schedule Review — provided schedule reviews and time impact analysis services for the Hall of Records Renovation project. All analysis is prepared for a quick turnaround.
