Cordoba provides estimating and design services under a master services agreement for PG&E’s New Business Team, responding to customer requests for new home and business services, including infrastructure upgrades for charging stations and distribution (system hardening, pole replacements). Cordoba provides a team that is based throughout California and includes estimators/designers, project managers, Qualified Electrical Workers.
Our scope includes defining project feasibility and requirements, updating circuit maps to accommodate increased loads, creating construction sketches for necessary facilities, coordinating inspections for underground construction and trenching, managing environmental and land verifications, analyzing Joint Point agreements, conducting pole load calculations, obtaining engineering stamps for approval, and performing on-site verifications for Rule 15 and Rule 16 projects.
Components include the development of customized training materials specific to PG&E’s business unit. Cordoba’s team worked closely with PG&E design engineers to specify deliverables and processes. We compiled a comprehensive Estimating Design Criteria Document (DCD) encompassing the entire project scope. New team members receive this DCD and are paired with a mentor to guide them through on-the-job training. Cordoba’s project manager also developed management tools essential for tracking projects, reporting progress, and collecting KPIs.
Cordoba also supports PG&E’s Clean Energy Vehicle Program by performing a detailed scoping of estimating and design activities. Project work activities include:
• Initial site analysis (“Desktop Review”)
• Design and engineering of the site to meet California and PG&E standards and codes
• Prepare drawings and packages
• Obtaining Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) permits
• Rough order of magnitude cost estimating
• Site walks
• Pre-construction services
